Our Mission
We exist to provide scholarships for students from economically disadvantaged communities while helping donors benefit from a dollar-for-dollar matching tax credit under Ohio’s new Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) tax credit program.
Quality Christian Education for Students in Need
Gifts support students in need at Harambee Christian School (Pre K-8) and Akili Christian High School (9-12).

"The educational quality provided by these schools is excellent. Growing up in an educator's home, I've been cognizant of the need for excellence in education; these schools are scratching the itch. It's easy to participate - just follow the instructions, get your receipt, and attach it to your Ohio tax return. This is a great way to direct some of your Ohio Income Tax to students in need and know it will be used well. If you have Ohio tax liability, why not direct it to a good cause?"

"It is hard to imagine a cause with greater downstream social impact than providing quality, Christ-centered education in our neighborhoods most ravaged by poverty. The ability to contribute generously to this crucial work is enhanced greatly by an astounding provision in the tax code, redirecting up to $750 per person of our own tax dollars to a pre-approved list of eligible schools. My husband and I were able to give a combined $1,500 last December on top of our normal charitable contributions, which we refunded to our savings account after our tax refund in February. If that isn't a win for the kingdom and for our most vulnerable, I don't know what is."

"When I first heard about this opportunity, I thought, this is too good to be true! But it is for real! My wife and I gave $1,500 to Harambee and Akili scholarships at no personal cost. I was reimbursed 100% by a credit on my Ohio tax return. It was so easy, I would truly put this in the category of a “no-brainer”. I firmly believe that these schools are changing the lives of these young students and that this investment will bear great fruit in the years to come in this community and the world."
